Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a new undergraduate transfer student with 30 or more earned credits.
  3. Must enroll in the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Distance Learning Center.
  4. Must be seeking a degree in business administration.
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to students who have been accepted as degree-seeking transfers to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's distance education undergraduate business administration program. Students must have earned 30 or more college credits, and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: This scholarship has been established by Ruth Miller, 1982 distance education business administration alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. This scholarship is in recognition of the important role that distance education has played in Ruth's life, both personally and professionally. It is also a recognition of the challenges that learners make to successfully juggle education, career, and family. Recipients will be notified by mail once a decision has been made.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications are available on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Distance Education website. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials: an essay of 500 to 1,000 words addressing the topic listed on the application; and a resume. Applications may be mailed to the address provided or emailed to Tara Krueger, Scholarship Chair, at [email protected]. Applications must be postmarked or emailed by the deadline date.
