In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an undegraduate or graduate program.
  3. Must attend or plan to attend one of the ten partner universities of WACE: Clarkson University, State University of New York Oswego, Drexel University, University of Cincinnati, Johnson & Wales University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Kettering University, University of Toledo, Rochester Institute of Technology, or Wentworth Institute of Technology.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Description: This award is available for U.S. students attending a partner university of the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE). Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4 point scale.

Additional Information: WACE encourages minority and female students as well as students interested in science, mathematics, engineering and technology (SMET) to apply for this merit co-op scholarship. Please note the selection of scholarship winners is decided by each partner institution. All scholarships are non-transferable. Winners will be notified between March and May. For information regarding the status of the scholarship, please contact the university directly by using the telephone numbers listed on the WACE Partner Institutions page.

Award Amount: $6,000 annually, renewable for an additional three or four years based on the university and program of study terms.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.

Applications and information is available on the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE) website. In addition to the completed application form, students must submit a one-page (300 word) essay describing why he/she has chosen to pursue a college cooperative education program. Completed applications must be postmarked or submitted online by the deadline date. Please note deadline exceptions for Clarkson University, Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Merrimack College, SUNY Oswego and University of Massachusetts Lowell.
