Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current college freshman or older to apply for this undergraduate award. The student must have completed 12 or more college credit hours.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.50-2.99
  5. Must plan to tranfer to Western New England College in Massachusetts.
  6. Must attend a college or university in Massachusetts.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Official Transcript
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • Recommendation letter
Additional Information: A composite college grade point average will be calculated if the applicant has attended more than one college.

Award Amount: $7,000 annually, renewable for up to three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $21,000.

Applications are available online from the Western New England College website. There is not a separate application for this award. A student will be considered upon admission to the college. In addition to the admissions application, the student must submit official transcripts, SAT/ACT scores (not required if the applicant has completed 24 or more credit hours), one academic letter of recommendation, and a personal statement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the student is encouraged to apply by Dec. 1 for the spring or July 1 for the fall semester.
