Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, all eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be accepted to William Woods University in Missouri as a first time freshmen.
  2. Must be a high school senior or older.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  6. Must have a SAT score (CR and M) of between 1250 and 1330 or an ACT score of 28 or 29.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school senior who are admitted to William Woods University as first-time freshmen. Student who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and an ACT of 28-29 or a SAT of 1250 to 1320 or higher are automatically considered for this award.

Application requirements for the William Woods University Distinguished Scholar are:

Additional Information: William Woods University offers various financial aid and scholarship programs to help students receive as much financial assistance as possible. WWU Merit awards are offered to incoming first-time freshmen students based on the student's academic profile. Students receiving a WWU Merit award automatically receive the LEAD Program award. Students should visit the WWU website for additional information about the LEAD program.

Award Amount: Up to $9,000 annually, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $36,000.

In addition to the application, students must also submit a resume, SAT/ACT scores, official transcripts, and an essay detailing the questions found on the application. Applications must be submitted by mail or email by the deadline date. Priority consideration will be given to applications submitted by December 1.
