Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, all eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be accepted to William Woods University in Missouri.
  2. Must be an incoming first-year freshman.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  6. Must have an ACT score of 31 or higher OR a SAT (CR and M) score of 1410 or higher.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors who are admitted to William Woods University as first-time freshmen. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and an ACT score of 31 or higher or an SAT score of 1410 or higher.

Award Amount: The award pays for full tuition, valued at approximately $20,000 for the current academic year, renewable for three additional years providing successful completion of the LEAD program and a minimum grade point average of 3.2.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.

Applications are available online from the William Woods University (WWU) website. To be eligible to apply, students must first apply for admission to William Woods University. Interested students must contact WWU Admissions by phone, e-mail, mail, or website to request an application packet, or apply online from the college website In addition to the application, students must also submit a resume, SAT/ACT scores, official transcripts, and an essay. Completed applications must be submitted by mail or email by the deadline date. Priority consideration will be given to applications submitted by Dec. 1. The final deadline for this scholarship is March 1.
