Description: For 60 years, WWF has worked to help people and nature thrive. Our mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. WWF works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon; transform markets and policies toward sustainability; and protect and restore species and their habitats. Our efforts ensure that the value of nature is reflected in decision-making from a local to a global scale. Our work is focused around six ambitious goals: CLIMATE, FOOD, FORESTS, FRESHWATER, OCEANS, & WILDLIFE

Additional Information: The awardee must sign an agreement for the year. It lays out the terms of receiving the funds, what the funds can be used for, and tax implications. The funds have to be used within the year of receiving the award. It can be used for travel to conferences, field work and supplies, or tuition. For conferences, field work, research and supplies, we need the awardee to submit a budget before any funds can be released. For tuition we need an invoice from the university. It may take up to two weeks for the Finance department to disperse the funds once all of the paperwork is in place. **Federal, state and local government employees are not eligible to apply WWF network current or former staff members or their immediate family are not eligible to apply

Award Amount: Chosen applicant will receive $5,000.   The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
