Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of New Hampshire.
  3. Must be a child whose parent(s) died as the result of service in WWI, WWII, the Korean conflict, the Southeast Asian conflict, the Persian Gulf War, or was awarded the armed forces expeditionary medal or a theater of operations service medal. The deceased parent(s) must have been a resident of New Hampshire at the time of death.
  4. Must be between the ages of 16 and 25.
  5. Must enroll half-time or greater.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must be the child of a veteran who died as a result of serving in WWI, WWII, the Korean conflict, the Southeast Asian conflict, the Persian Gulf War, or was awarded an armed forces expeditionary medal or a theater of operations service medal.
  8. Must attend a New Hampshire public institution of higher education. The eligible schools are the following: Granite State College (all campuses); Keene State College; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Berlin; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Claremont; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Laconia; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Manchester; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Nashua; New Hampshire Community Technical College, Stratham; New Hampshire Technical Institute; Plymouth State University; University of New Hampshire; and University of New Hampshire-Manchester.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available to New Hampshire resident undergraduate students who are 16-25 years old and whose parent(s) died, while a NH resident, as the result of a service related disability while serving in the U.S. armed services in a combat situation.

Additional Information: The New Hampshire Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans is for students whose parent(s) died, while a NH resident, as the result of a service related disability while serving in the U.S. armed services in a combat situation.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, renewable for up to three additional years (including graduate study, if applicable).  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.
