Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award. The student must be accepted to an accredited postsecondary institution prior to the scholarship deadline.
  4. Must be the spouse of an enlisted member of the Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard.
  5. Must a student whose spouse is currently enlisted in the Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students. The student must be the spouse of an enlisted member of the Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard and must be accepted to an accredited postsecondary institution prior to the scholarship deadline.

Application requirements for the NMCCG Enlisted Dependent Spouse Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Service I.D.
  • Tax return
Additional Information: The purpose of the NWCA is to promote a friendly, sympathetic relationship among the spouses of enlisted personnel. The NWCA extends relief assistance to members in need and other families of the Navy, Marine Corp and Coast Guard. The NMCCG scholarship is only for spouses (not children) of the enlisted Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard who are continuing their education.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard (NMCCG) Enlisted Dependent Spouse Scholarship applications are available at the Navy Wives Clubs of America (NWCA) website. The student must complete the paper application, typed or printed in black ink. Additionally, the student must submit a copy of his/her uniformed service identification and privilege card, a copy of last year's federal tax return and a high school or college transcript request form (included in the application). The transcript request form must be completed by a high school or college official. The application and all additional documentation must be sent by U.S. postal mail and received before the deadline.
