In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a Veteran of the Armed forces including reserves and National Guard, spouse of Veteran, Active Duty Service Member.
  2. Must be enrolled in an eligible construction trade program.
  3. Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Description: Through a corporate grant from Lowe’s Companies, Inc, AMVETS ( American Veterans) offers the Generation T Scholarships. These are available to eligible Veterans and spouses who would like to enter into or advance their career in the skilled trades industry. These scholarships provide up to $5,000 each.

Application requirements for the Lowe’s + AMVETS Generation T Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: High school diploma or GED, must be enrolled in an eligible construction trade program. Construction trades in this case refer to the creation and maintenance of the physical world around us. These professional endeavors include carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, painting, fencing, cabinet installation and so much more that we often take for granted. The Generation T scholarship will support those who want to enter or advance in the skilled trades industry.

Award Amount: Up to $5000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $50,000.
