Still considered a large minority group in the United States, African-American students pursuing higher education can find abundant scholarship opportunities to help them achieve their dreams. Some of the scholarships in this category require students to be first-generation minority students, other simply require that students demonstrate financial need. Regardless of the specific requirements, African-American students are still underrepresented at many colleges and universities. Several organizations, like the NAACP, provide scholarship opportunities for this minority group, and our Scholarship Directory can help students find the African-American scholarships they are looking for.
