Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be entering the first year of an MBA program.
  4. Must be a minority student, military veteran, OR a student with disabilities.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must be pursuing an MBA.
  7. Must be attending an AACSB accredited business school.

Description: This fellowship is for U.S., first-year MBA minority students entering a business school in the fall.

Application requirements for the Bank of America Merrill Lynch MBA Diversity Fellowship Program are:

  • Resume
Additional Information: Upon successful completion of the GBAM Summer Associate Program and acceptance of a full-time offer for 2016, the Fellowship will cover $40,000 of total tuition and fees for the second year of the recipient's MBA program.

Award Amount: $40,000 annually, renewable for an additional year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $80,000.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Additional information is available on the provider's website. The student must complete the online applicant summary form prior to completing his/her online fellowship application. Once completed, he /she will need to write an essay (500 words or less) describing his/her career goals in relation to the fellowship program being offered. In addition, he/she will also need to submit a copy of one of the essays submitted with his/her business school application. The student will also need to submit a current resume and two letters of recommendation. Once all materials have been gathered, the student should create a candidate profile and complete the online application.
