In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have at least a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  2. Must be graduating from a school in San Diego.
  3. Must be at least one-quarter Chinese descent.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The San Diego Chinese Women’s Association awards annual scholarships to selected outstanding students of Chinese descent who are attending high school in San Diego County.

Application requirements for the San Diego Chinese Women’s Association Scholarships are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • list of participation in Chinese cultural activities and extracurricular activities
Additional Information: The total number of scholarships to be awarded will depend on availability of funding and the number of deserving applicants. Scholarships are open to both male and female applicants of at least one-quarter Chinese descent. General Eligibility Requirements include: Open to male and female students, applicants must be: A. at least one-quarter Chinese descent; and, B. graduating from a San Diego County high school no later than end of academic year 2020-2021 (typically, June 2021); and, C. If applying for the $1,500 four-year university/college scholarship: • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0/weighted; and, • Have immediate plans for attendance at a four-year university or college. or D. If applying for the $1,000 community college/vocational program scholarship: • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5; and, • Have immediate plans for attendance at a two-year community college or vocational program.

Award Amount: Up to $1,500 scholarships offered  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
