This year, there will be more Hispanic students starting college than any other minority group. College costs can be too expensive for many students, but scholarships are available. Many organizations, such as the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), are committed to assisting Hispanic and Latino students find free money for college. To qualify for scholarship money, Hispanic students should plan to show a good GPA and also good test scores. But, these aren’t the only factors for receiving scholarship money. Always check the rules and requirements for scholarships. Toigo MBA Fellowship

This award is available for U.S. minority graduate students who are planning to attend a full-time MBA program. The student must also be planning a career in financial services.

Bruce Lee Scholarship

This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who are 16 years of age or older at time of application. Students are NOT required to be of Pan-Asian American heritage for this award. Students must: have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher; be involved in community service; and demonstrate financial need.

AAJA Seattle Northwest Journalists of Color Scholarship

This award is for Washington state high school seniors and undergraduate students who are pursuing a journalism career. Students must attend a Washington college or university.

Danbury Latino Scholarship Fund

This award is available for Latino students residing in the Greater Danbury area of Connecticut (Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, and Ridgefield). Applicants must demonstrate unmet financial need.

SREB Doctoral Scholarship for Georgia Residents

This scholarship is available for minority students who are enrolled in a Ph.D. program at one of the following universities: Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Medical College of Georgia, and the University of Georgia. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement, intent to pursue a career in academia, and must be residents of Georgia.

This award is available for U.S. minority students who are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program and planning to pursue a career as a professor. Applicants must be residents of South Carolina and must attend one of the following institutions: Clemson University, Medical University of South Carolina, or University of South Carolina at Columbia.

This award is available for U.S. minority students who are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program and planning to pursue a career as a professor. Applicants must be residents of Virginia and must enroll at one of the following eligible institutions: College of William and Mary, George Mason University, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Albert W. Dent & Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarships

The Albert W. Dent & Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarships are available for students who are currently enrolled in the final year of a graduate program in health administration. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, must be citizens of the U.S. or Canada, and must demonstrate unmet financial need.

LULAC National Scholarship Fund

High school seniors who are Hispanic and residing in a state with a LULAC council are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher and have an ACT/SAT score of 23/1100 or higher.

CANFit Culinary Arts Undergraduate Scholarship

This award is available for students who are enrolled in a California culinary arts school. Students must be of African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian-American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic ethnicity.

CANFit Graduate Scholarship

This award is available for minority students currently enrolled in a graduate program for nutrition, public health nutrition, physical education, or an American Dietetic Association-approved pre-professional practice program at an accredited California college or university. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed 12 to 15 units of graduate course work at the time of application.
