In an effort to diversify their campuses, many colleges and universities offer scholarships for minority students, including Hispanics and Latinos. Many organizations, such as the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), are committed to assisting Hispanic and Latino students find free money for college. Our Scholarship Directory contains many awards for students with a Hispanic ethnic background. In many cases, students must also satisfy other eligibility requirements, such as participation in a sport or a stellar grade point average. UNF Minority Community College Transfer Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Florida students who are planning to transfer to the University of North Florida and are members of a minority group. Awarding is based on financial need and/or merit and other select criteria.

This award is available for Hispanic undergraduate students who are legal residents of Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Baker or Nassau counties, Florida for three years or more. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher at time of application.

Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation (HENAAC) Scholars Program

The Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation Scholarship Program is available for current high school seniors, undergraduates, and returning or non-traditional students who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage and plan to pursue a major in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

The Dr. Gertrude Dunsworth Scholarship is available for first-time students at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Applicants must be of Native America, African American or Latin American descent, and must have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.

This award is available to Wisconsin residents who are classified as a minority and are undergraduate students enrolled in degree or certificate programs at Wisconsin Technical College, independent colleges and universities, or tribal colleges based in Wisconsin. This award is available for U.S. high school students who are residents of Wisconsin and planning to attend an in-state or eligible out-of-state public or independent postsecondary institution. This award is available for Mexican students who demonstrate financial need and who are planning to enroll at one of the following public Texas colleges or universities: Sul Ross State University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas Southmost College, Texas State Technical College-Harlingen, University of Texas at Brownsville, University of Texas at El Paso, and University of Texas Pan American.

This scholarship is available for minority U.S. students who are residents of the state of Illinois.
