  1. Must identify as latino.
  2. Must be a U.S citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be a high school senior or graduate or current undergraduate student.

Description: The FJ Pollak / Maestro Cares Foundation Scholarship Fund awards monetary scholarships to university, college or vocational school admitted students who identify as Latino.

Application requirements for the FJ Pollack / Maestro Cares Foundation Scholarship Fund are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
  • Proof of community service
Additional Information: The application deadline is July 15th for the Fall semester and November 15th for the Spring semester. All applicants will be notified of their application status in late July for the Fall Semester and late November for the Spring semester. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Application Process: Along with the application form, the following components must be submitted for consideration: • Resume • Official Transcripts • 3 letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or mentor • Proof of community service or volunteer work hours Application form consists of an Applicant Questionnaire with 7 short answer questions about education, extracurriculars, awards, and personal/professional history of applicant and (1) 300-word essay question.

Award Amount: Student will receive between $2,000 and $3,000 per semester. Award will not exceed $6,000 per year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $30,000.
