Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior.
  4. Must plan to major in engineering.
  5. Must plan to enroll full time.
  6. Must be a member of an ethnic minority.

Description: This award is for a U.S. minority high school senior who plans to pursue an engineering degree at a four-year college or university.

Additional Information: The scholarship will be awarded in two disbursements of $2,500 each at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters of the freshman year. The award will be credited to the student’s account through the school’s Office of Financial Aid.

Award Amount: $5,000, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Additional information is available on the provider's website. Students must submit the application, which includes information about their grades and test scores, volunteer activities, work experience. honors/scholarships and four questions regarding their interest in engineering, career plans, personal development and personal history. In addition to the application, students must submit an official transcript and SAT/ACT test scores, two recommendation letters from high school teachers, and a resume. All materials must be sent together by email or postmarked to the address provided by the deadline date.
