This award is available for U.S. high school seniors and adult students who are entering their freshman year that reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation's 21-town service area. Students must plan to major in nursing and have a grade point average of B- or higher.

'Growing Up Asian in America' Art and Writing Contest

Students in grades K through 12 and who are of all backgrounds including those of Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Afghani, Cambodian, Native Hawaiian, Pakistani, Thai, other South Asian, Southeast Asian, Asian, Pacific Islander ethnic groups or those of mixed heritage are invited to submit entries. Students must reside in one of the following counties in California: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma.

Dorothy Ruth Ellis Endowed Scholarship

Undergraduate students attending Prescott College in Arizona planning to pursue a course of study in writing, literature or journalism are eligible for this award.
