First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC)
$2,500 annually, non-renewable.
The number of recipients for this program varies according to the amount of funds generated by the FCHCC. Last year, sixteen scholarships were awarded.
The mission of FCHCC is to promote the welfare and growth of Hispanic businesses utilizing the strength in numbers and unity. The Achieving the Dream Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and based solely on the content of the application. Applications will be evaluated and selections made by a panel of judges consisting of current officers and/or directors of FCHCC. Applicants' scores will be based upon the following criteria: academic grades (20 percent), honors and awards (20 percent), extracurricular activities (40 percent), and essay (20 percent). Recipients will be informed in early August.
