The late Arthur Krichevsky was a long time resident of Portland and established this scholarship in 1996 for the purpose of furthering Jewish education. Applicants will be given priority of consideration based on the categories listed below in the following order: Jewish Day Schools in Portland (grades 1 and above); Board of Rabbis Teen Israel Experience program; and Students pursuing post-high school Jewish education through qualified programs offered by accredited educational institutions in the United States. The Committee gives greater consideration to applicants showing the highest levels of commitment to Jewish study, community service and/or outreach.
