American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) Institute for Oral Health

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a member of a minority group currently underrepresented in dental hygiene programs, including African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, and males.
  3. Must be a student or professional member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA).
  4. Must be a full-time sudent.
  5. Must be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  7. Must have completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene associate's degree or certificate curriculum prior to receiving this scholarship. Students entering their first year of a dental hygiene program are not eligible; students who are in the process of completing their first year at time of application may apply.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are studying in a certificate or associate's program for dental hygiene and are professional or student members of ADHA. Students must be an underrepresented minority in the dental hygiene profession (e.g., African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, and males).

Additional Information: Sponsored by Colgate Palmolive Company, these scholarships are awarded to members of minority groups currently underrepresented in dental hygiene programs at the Associate educational level. Example eligible applicants include: African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, and males.

Award Amount: $1,250 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
