Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. For the 2018 award year, 60 scholarships will be awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American, Asian Pacific American, Hispanic or Native American.
  3. Must be enrolled as a full-time student, carrying a total of 12 units or more per semester/quarter at an accredited university/college.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  6. Must major in public relations, marketing, or advertising OR must minor in communications with desire to pursue a career in public relations, marketing or advertising.
  7. Must be an undergraduate student at time of application. The applicant must have at least one year to complete his/her degree from the time the scholarship is awarded.

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduates with a GPA of 2.75 or higher who are of either African, Asian/Pacific, Hispanic, or Native American heritage. Majors in public relations, marketing, advertising; or minors in communications with desire to pursue careers in public relations, marketing or advertising are eligible to apply.

Additional Information: The Lagrant Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships, career development workshops, professional development, mentors and internships. If selected as a finalist, the applicant must provide official transcripts. If chosen, the applicant must attend the Lagrant Foundation's career development workshop and awards reception to receive the scholarship. In addition, the applicant must make a one-year commitment to maintain contact with the Lagrant Foundation to receive professional guidance and academic support.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
