In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a member of the Penobscot Nation.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  4. Must be a college senior or currently enrolled graduate student at time of application.

Application requirements for the Penobscot Nation Fellowship are:

Additional Information: The Penobscot Fellowship provides scholarship assistance to members of the Penobscot Nation who are seeking to earn their post-baccalaureate degrees through a properly accredited higher education institution. Scholarship awards are determined by the Penobscot Nation Higher Education Committee.

Award Amount: $750 per semester, non-renewable. Previous recipients are invited to re-apply for each semester they remain eligible.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available by contacting the Penobscot Nation using the contact information listed. The completed application must be postmarked by June 15 for the fall semester and by Nov. 15 for the spring semester. Summer semester applications must be postmarked by May 1.
