Number of Awards & Eligibility: One or more awards provided annually, depending on available funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must actively celebrate his/her Polish heritage.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Undergraduate students must have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Description: The Polish Roman Catholic Union of America (PRCUA) Education Fund Scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who actively celebrate their Polish heritage. Applicants must have completed at least one year of post-secondary study and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the PRCUA Education Fund Scholarship are:

  • Application form

  • Recommendation letter
  • Recent high resolution headshot
Additional Information: Award selection is based on a combination of academic records, community service, and involvement with Polish culture and community. Recipients who are also members of PRCUA will be eligible to receive further assistance in the form of need-based grants and reduced cost loans. Winners are announced August 15th of each year. All decisions of the committee are final.

Award Amount: Scholarships are provided in amounts of $500 and up and may be renewed for up to three total years of study. All awards will be paid directly to the student's college or university.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $200.

Applications and additional information about this award can be found at the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America (PRCUA) website using the provided links. In addition to a typed and completed application form, students must submit the following: official copies of transcripts; a recommendation letter verifying the student's active celebration of their Polish heritage; and a recent high resolution headshot to be used for marketing purposes. Photos must be a minimum of 200 dpi and JPG format is preferred. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted to the listed email address and must be received no later than the deadline date.
