Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior at time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be of Asian-Indian heritage with at least one parent of Indian ancestry.
  5. Must plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student in a U.S. university in fall.
  6. Must reside in the United States.

Description: This award is available for current high school seniors of Asian-Indian heritage with at least one parent Indian ancestry. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full time in an undergraduate program.

Application requirements for the SEED Scholar Program are:

  • Application form
  • Essays (3)
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • FAFSA
Additional Information: Though not a criteria for eligibility, applicants with financial need as indicated by Adjusted Gross Income and/or number of family members simultaneously in college will be given special consideration. Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 30th. All winners will also be listed on the SEED Foundation website.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.

The application form must be completed online; all additional documents, including the Verification Form, must be mailed to the address provided. All application materials are due by 11 p.m. EST on the deadline date. Applicants may not send their application materials by certified mail or any other service that requires a signature; doing so will render the application ineligible.
