Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately three to five awards offered annually. This number can vary each year based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must attend or plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
  5. Must currently live on campus or plan to live on campus at UNC-Greensboro.
  6. Must not have a car.
  7. Must have never been married.
  8. Must have no other scholarships and have unmet financial need.
  9. Must be a high school senior or currently enrolled undergraduate student at time of application.

Award Amount: The award amount varies depending on the unmet financial need of the applicant. The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient is enrolled in school and continues to meet the scholarship qualifications.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

There is no application form for this scholarship. Students apply by filing their FAFSAs (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the deadline. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The priority deadline to submit the FAFSA for this scholarship is March 1; however, qualified students will be considered at any point throughout the year, as long as funds are available.
