In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be enrolled full time.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student.
  3. Must have a 2.7 GPA or higher.
  4. Must reside in the United States.
  5. Must attend a TMCF member-school.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Thurgood Marshall College Fund and varying partners unite to offer the COVID-19 Emergency Award to students attending one of TMCF’s publicly supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).

Application requirements for the TMCF / COVID-19 Emergency Award are:

  • No application requirements for this scholarship
Additional Information: TMCF will only consider requests to cover expenses in five areas: 1. IT/Technology Needs. For example, laptop, Wi-Fi hotspot, access codes for e-books 2. Housing/Rent Needs. For example, mortgage, rent, utility bills 3. Food Insecurity Needs. For example, groceries 4. Transportation/Travel Needs. For example, gas, car repairs, train/bus/plane tickets, moving support 5. Mental Health. For example, copays for therapist appointments

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
