Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend one of the following colleges: Calvin University (Grand Rapids, MI); Dordt University (Sioux Center, IA); Hope College (Holland, MI); Kuyper College (Grand Rapids, MI); Trinity Christian College (Palos Heights, IL); Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL).
  2. Must be the child of missionaries currently on or recently returned from the mission field who have made significant financial sacrifices to serve the Lord.
  3. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.

Description: Christian Missionary Scholarship Fund is available for children of missionaries currently on or recently returned from the mission field who have made significant financial sacrifices to serve the Lord. This Foundation has helped thousands of missionary kids receive a quality Christian college education since 1992.

Additional Information: Christian Missionary Scholarship Foundation has helped thousands of missionary kids receive a quality Christian college education since 1992. Stanley and Harriet van Reken founded the nonprofit after members of their family returned to the mission field with no way of financing a college education for their children. The van Rekens' heart for the sacrifices missionary families make has helped grow a foundation that supports more than 100 missionary kids at six Christian colleges each year. Students who receive a scholarship are not restricted to a particular major or academic program. Graduates who go on to medical school, dental school or seminary are eligible for further assistance.

Award Amount: Awards given vary in amount and are renewable for four years if the student is making satisfactory academic progress and enrolled full time.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.
