  1. Must be a member of a United Church of Christ congregation.
  2. Must be under 25 years of age.
  3. Must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of study.

Description: United Church of Christ Undergraduate Scholarship provides scholarship assistance to United Church of Christ members who are sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students. Applicants may be majoring in any discipline at any accredited four-year university or college in the United States.

Application requirements for the United Church of Christ Undergraduate Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript.
Additional Information: The UCC Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in 1994 through a generous gift from the members of the Society of the South Congregational Church of Brooklyn, N.Y. The Endowment is managed by Local Church Ministries, a covenanted ministry of the United Church of Christ. The scholarship process is presently administered by the Parish Life and Leadership Ministry Team of Local Church Ministries.

Award Amount: The dollar amount of awards varies, Awards are renewable, and recipients must submit an additional application each year for consideration.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
