Each eligible student will be awarded a scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must plan to attend Northwestern College in Iowa.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior or incoming transfer student.
  5. Must have a sibling who is currently enrolled or has graduated from Northwestern College OR have a parent or grandparent who attended Northwestern for three semesters or longer OR belong to a Reformed Church in America congregation.
  6. Must enroll full time.

Description: U.S. high school seniors and transfer students who plan to attend Northwestern College in Iowa are eligible for this award. Students must meet one of the following criteria: have a sibling currently enrolled or who has graduated from NWC, a parent or grandparent attended Northwestern for three or more semesters, or belong to a Reformed Church in America congregation .

Application requirements for the Northwestern College Legacy Grant are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • Evaluation form
  • $25 app. fee (waived if online)
Additional Information: An incoming student may meet one or more of the criteria to be eligible.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.
