This scholarship was established in 2004 to support higher education in science for residents of Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Roane, or Sevier Counties in Tennessee. The award is intended to support studies in science and engineering and is not intended for those students who wish to pursue a professional career in medicine. Applicants must plan to attend one of the following universities: Roane State Community College, Pellissippi State Community College, Walters State Community College, Tennessee Technological University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, or Maryville College.
