Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be awarded each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must demonstrate an interest in agriculture.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior or current community college student in the process of transferring to a four-year college or university.

Description: The William P. Reiman Memorial Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors as well as community college students who are transfering to a four-year college or university. Applicants must reside in Ventura County, California and must have an interest in agriculture.

Additional Information: The William P. Reiman Memorial Scholarship Fund is provided annually to Ventura County residents who are graduating high school seniors or current community college students who are in the process of transferring to a four-year college or university. Applicants for this scholarship must have strong grades, unmet financial need, and must demonstrate an interest in agriculture either through a declared major, work experience, or other organizational involvement.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for the William P. Reiman Memorial Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
