Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 23 scholarships were awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Must be the spouse, son, daughter, or stepchild of a 100 Club beneficiary or eligible class member, OR a 100 Club beneficiary or member of the eligible class may themselves be eligible in certain circumstances. A beneficiary is a person who has received, or whose family member has received benefits from the 100 Club of Arizona for a line of duty death, line of duty injury, or non-line of duty death. A member of the eligible class is defined as a sworn or certified member or retired member of a city, county, state, federal, tribal, or public safety agency which provides for the safety of the citizens of Arizona. Please note: Dependents of beneficiaries/eligible class members do not have to reside in Arizona.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who meet one of the three eligibility classes: a beneficiary of the 100 Club of Arizona or immediate family member of a beneficiary; an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class (public safety officer or firefighter who was injured or killed in the line of duty); or an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class who met retirement eligibility of the applicable retirement system.

Application requirements for the 100 Club of Arizona Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Official Transcript or GED
Additional Information: The program offers general scholarships to students who meet one of the three basic eligibility criteria; special, more restricted scholarships are also awarded. The 100 Club of Arizona does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, disability, veteran status or age in the administration of its scholarship program. Chosen applicants will be invited to a scholarship award ceremony.

Award Amount: The amount of the award varies. Awards generally range from $1,000 non-renewable awards to $5,000 awards that are renewable for three additional years. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, fees and/or housing; special equipment awards including but not limited to special accommodation student needs and/or technology equipment are also available.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,500.

Applications are available online on the 100 Club of Arizona website. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: two signed letters of recommendation from persons other than relatives (must have known the student for more than two years); his/her most recent high school transcript or a copy of his/her GED; transcripts from all college courses attended; a personal essay of 300 to 1,000 words including (but not limited to) information on his/her family, career goal, plan to achieve career goal, interests, community service, and why he/she deserves the scholarship. The application and all supplemental materials must be mailed or hand-delivered to the address provided, and must be received by 5 p.m. MST on the deadline date. Students are strongly encouraged to apply early, as only the first 200 applications will be accepted.
