The Acorn Scholarship is available to LGBT students, allies, and the children of LGBT parents who have a permanent residence in the Acorn Equality Fund service area (all counties in Illinois except Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will). $1000 Essay Scholarship Program

$1000 Scholarship shall be available to all the students looking to pursue further in the USA for a graduate or post-graduate program. All the students who have been granted admission to any accredited and recognized American university will be eligible to avail of this scholarship. However, the preference for awarding the scholarship will be given to candidates going to Ivy colleges like the Harvard, Princeton, Columbia University, etc. The candidate applying for the scholarship should also fulfill the following criteria as well. Applicant should be 18 years or older at the time of enrollment. Candidate should be enrolled in an approved undergraduate/ post-graduate course in a reputed US educational institute.
