  2. Must attend a college or university in the St. Louis area.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.

Additional Information: The AIGA St. Louis Design Scholarship is provided annually by the American Institute of Graphic Arts St. Louis Student Chapter and will be provided to a local area undergraduate or graduate student who is pursuing higher education in design. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic records, financial need, and the quality of submitted portfolio pieces. Award recipients are encouraged and expected to attend the conference to receive the scholarship in person. Scholarship Central is made possible by a joint commitment between St. Louis Graduates and the St. Louis Community Foundation, as well as a variety of private and public sponsors. All funds provided by St. Louis Community Foundation do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, national origin, gender, age, color, sexual orientation, veteran status, physical or mental disability.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Online applications and additional details about this award are available online at the Scholarship Central website. To be considered for this award, students must register an online account with the Scholarship Central scholarship application system. In addition to the online application form, applicants for the AIGA St. Louis Design Scholarship must submit: responses to the supplemental questions; high school and/or college transcripts; proof of financial need; two letters of recommendation; an essay describing what he or she hopes to achieve with a design degree; and a portfolio submission of the applicant's four favorite and/or best works. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online system no later than the deadline date.
