Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must reside in the greater Houston area.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be a member in good standing in the Allied Florists of Houston. Applicants who are also members in Texas State Florists Association will be given priority.
  5. Must plan to use the scholarship at any accredited floral design school, state association credentialed class, community, junior college, university level, or attendance at a regional, state, or national floral industry convention.
  6. Priority will be given to applicants entering TSFA's TMF/TMFA program.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship will be awarded to the highest scoring applicant who is a member in good standing of the Allied Florists of Houston. This scholarship may be used at any accredited floral design school, state association credentialed class, community, junior college, university level, or attendance at a regional, state, or national floral industry convention.

Additional Information: The recipient of this scholarship must utilize the scholarship within two years of the award. Awardees are announced during the Endowment presentation each year in July at the Texas State Florists' Association Annual Convention.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in February for a refreshed application deadline date.Applications are available on the Texas Floral Endowment (TFE) website. The applicant is welcome to apply for all TFE scholarships for which he/she is qualified; a separate application must be submitted for each scholarship.In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit three letters of reference and transcripts (if currently a full-time student). The application requires that each applicant discuss school activities and special recognition, employment and work experience, previous or current scholarships, reasons for applying for the scholarship, career plans, and why he/she wants to be in the floral industry. The application must be mailed to the address provided or to the following address for overnight or hand delivery: 715 Discovery Blvd., Suite 403, Cedar Park, TX 78613. The application must be received by the deadline date.
