The first-place competition winner at each participating Art Institute location will receive a $3,000 scholarship, while the second-place winner at each participating institution will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The local first-place winner at each participating Art Institutes location will automatically advance to the national competition. From the pool of local first-place winners, three national winners will be selected. National scholarships will be awarded as follows: the grand-prize winner will receive a full-tuition scholarship (valued at about $90,000); the first-place winner will receive a half-tuition scholarship (valued at about $45,000); and the second-place winner will receive a quarter-tuition scholarship (valued at about $22,500). All scholarship awards are to be applied towards tuition at a participating Art Institute location. All scholarships are disbursed in the form of tuition credits divided evenly over each quarter, and are renewable for up to three years as long as the recipient mantains a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
One first-place winner and one second-place winner will be selected from each of the 51 participating Art Institute locations. Three national awards (first, second and third place) will also be offered.
