Up to $10,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years, provided the schodlar maintained a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at the end of each academic year and has completed 27 semester credit hours in the first academic year and 30 semester credit hours per academic year thereafter. If the Governor’s Distinguished Scholar fails to meet these requirements at the end of the academic year, the scholarship will revoked.
Up to 300 awards offered annually.
In 1983, the Arkansas General Assembly enacted the Arkansas Governor’s Scholars Program to recognize Arkansas’ outstanding graduates and encourage them to continue their education in Arkansas. Recipients of this award must attend an approved Arkansas college or university.
