Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually. One award will be given to a student at each Aurora public high school.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
  4. Must have an ACT score of 18 or higher.
  5. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  6. Must graduate from an Aurora, Colorado public high school.
  7. Must enroll in an accredited in-state post-secondary school (as defined by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education-CCHE) no later than the fall semester after graduation.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors from Aurora, Colorado public schools are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher, an ACT score of 18 or higher, and plan to attend a two- or four-year institution in Colorado.

Application requirements for the Aurora Public Schools (APS) Scholarship Fund are:

Additional Information: Must be involved in an extracurricular activity and demonstrate appropriate behavior and attendance standards.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually for a recipient attending a two-year institution, renewable for one additional year; $1,000 annually for a recipient attending a four-year institution, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in November for a refreshed application deadline date.Applications are available online from the Aurora Public Schools (APS) Education Foundation. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts, a 500-word essay on the listed topic, and two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher and one must be from an extracurricular activity sponsor.Applications and supporting materials must be received by 4 p.m. on the deadline date.
