Description: The Brown Wharton & Brothers College Scholarship is available for U.S. students who submit an original 500-word essay on the topic of medical malpractice law. Applicants must be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university during the upcoming academic year.

Additional Information: Brown Wharton & Brothers understand the importance - and difficulty - of obtaining a quality education. As such, this award has been founded to help deserving students pay for qualified educational expenses. A winner will be chosen on or around June 30 and notified by email.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Application information for this scholarship is available online at the Brown Wharton & Brothers website. To be considered for this award, applicants must write and submit an original essay of approximately 500 words in length. The essay must address the current year's topic: "Should the United States Congress or state governments reduce recoveries of plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases in order to lower insurance premiums for doctors?" Students must also submit personal contact information including: full name, address, phone number, email address, current or intended college, and planned major or current program of study. All essays and contact information must be submitted by mail and received at the provided address no later than the deadline date.
