  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must major in nursing.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

Description: The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is for U.S. students pursuing an undergraduate degree in nursing. The applicant must be a high school senior or older.

Application requirements for the Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • List of extracurricular activities; Self-addressed
  • stamped postcard
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is awarded to students who are in financial need and are accepted and/or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A student is only eligible for one scholarship from the NSDAR. Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified. Scholarships are awarded regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. Only winners are notified by the National DAR Scholarship Chairman following the approval of a ruling by the executive committee of the NSDAR.

Award Amount: $2,500  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.
