Additional Information

One of the stars in the crown of duck calling is the scholarship offered to the winner of the Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest, which is open to any high school senior in the United States who can call ducks. The scholarships can be used to further the student's education in any field. Each contestant must follow the rules ordained by the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest. The contestant will have 90 seconds to use four calls: hail, feed, comeback, and mating. The contest honors the memories of Chick and Sophie Major, who were waterfowl enthusiasts. Chick Major was well-known as the maker of the Dixie Mallard Duck Call.
