Number of Awards & Eligibility: 100 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a high school senior graduating in the spring and attending college in fall 2016.
  4. Must plan to pursue an agricultural degree at a college or university within the United States or Canada. Students pursuing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field of study with an interest in agriculture- or energy-related careers will be considered.

Description: This award is for U.S. and Canadian high school seniors who will be pursuing an agricultural-related major at a college or university. Students pursuing a STEM field with an interest in agriculture- or energy-related careers are also eligible. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

  • Transcript
Additional Information: Scholarship awards will be announced mid-May.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the CHS Foundation website. Students must apply via the CHS Foundation online application. As part of the online application, the student must complete two essays. The student must also upload the following documents to the online application: two letters of recommendation from sources such as a community leader, teacher, guidance counselor, etc.; and a copy of his/her high school transcript. Applications must be submitted by the deadline date.
