Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
Up to $500 a semester, non-renewable. The student may reapply each semester. The award can be used for tuition, books, utility bills, car maintenance, childcare, etc.
Six awards offered annually.
The scholarship exists to provide supplemental financial assistance to single parents who are pursuing a course of instruction that will improve their income-earning potential. The student must be the recipient of or be in the process of obtaining a Pell Grant. Applying for a Pell Grant is done by filing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Students must not have already earned a bachelor's degree.
