In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students. International students qualify to apply if they have I-551, I-551C or I-94 status (student visas are not acceptable).
  2. Must reside in the Greater Boston CJP service area.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Preference will be given to Jewish students.

Additional Information: Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) awards grants and interest free loans to students who reside in the Greater Boston CJP service area. Individuals are considered on the basis of economic need and are expected to have exhausted all available resources including college financial aid awards as well as federal, state and other private funds. Jewish Vocational Service staff screens prospective applicants.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

There are two deadline dates per year: April 30 for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and May 15 for students who will be freshmen in the fall.
