Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funding and the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Past recipients have had a grade point average between 3.15 and 3.45.
  5. Must have an SAT score between 1100 and 1250 OR an ACT score between 21 and 24.
  6. Must plan to attend the College of Saint Benedict or Saint John's University in Minnesota.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Minnesota.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and plan to attend the College of Saint Benedict or Saint John's University in Minnesota are eligible for this award. Past recipients have had a grade point average between 3.15-3.55 and an ACT score between 21-24 or an SAT score between 1100-1250.

  • Teacher evaluation form
Additional Information: Grade point average, high school rank, ACT/SAT scores, and leadership and service will all be considered. Subject scores from multiple test dates may be combined to calculate the composite score.

Award Amount: $15,000 - $32,000 per year ($60,000-$128,000 over four years)  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $128,000.

Applications for admission are available online. There is not a separate application for this award. Each student will be considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit: a writing sample, official transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, a listing of extracurricular and personal activities, and a teacher evaluation form. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the deadline date. Please note, there are three deadline each year: 11/15 for Early Action I, 12/15 for Early Action II, and 1/15 for Regular Decision.
