Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
  5. Must have an ACT score of 30 or higher.
  6. Must plan to attend the College of Saint Benedict or Saint John's University in Minnesota.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Minnesota.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher and an ACT/SAT score of 30 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must plan to attend the College of Saint Benedict or Saint John's University in Minnesota.

  • Teacher evaluation form
Additional Information: Subject scores from multiple test dates may be combined to calculate the composite score. Applicants must demonstrate leadership and service. A faculty interview will be required and will be available on Honors Scholar Days in November, January, and February.

Award Amount: Up to $32,000 award offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $64,000.

Applications for admission are available online. There is not a separate application for this award. Each student will be considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a writing sample, official transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, a listing of extracurricular and personal activities, and a teacher evaluation form. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the deadline date. Please note, there are three deadline each year: 11/15 for Early Action I, 12/15 for Early Action II, and 1/15 for Regular Decision.
