Michael and Susan Dell Foundation
$20,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Upon the Foundation's approval, the recipient may also be able to use his/her funds for approved internships and study abroad programs.

Applicants must have a demonstrated need for financial assistance and be eligible to receive a federal Pell grant in their first year of college. Application for the Pell Grant is made by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students must have participated in an approved college readiness program during their junior and senior year of high school. Dell Scholars are students who demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals. Each student's application will be evaluated on his/her: individual determination to succeed; future goals and plans to achieve them; ability to communicate the hardships he/she has overcome or currently faces; self motivation in completing challenging coursework; demonstrated need for financial assistance. Semi-finalists will be announced on December 10, 2019. Semi-finalists will be required to submit additional materials; these materials are due by February 1, 2020. The Dell Scholars will be announced in March.
