In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, unmet financial need, and a history of involvement in school and/or community activities.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided each year in honor of Donald C. and Ruth A. Webster, graduates of the Class of 1935 at Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. It was established by their children to encourage students in pursuing their academic goals. Each year, the Donald C. and Ruth A. Webster Scholarship Fund provides renewable support to a graduating senior at Edward Little High School who is planning to enroll at a two- or four-year college or university. Eligible applicants will demonstrate unmet financial need, strong academic records, evidence of the ability and determination needed to succeed at college, and a history of active citizenship in his/her school and/or community.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary based on the funds available, the number of recipients selected, and individual financial need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Students may also contact the school by phone at 207-667-0447.Renewal applicants who have completed one year of academic study may apply for additional years of funding by using the online application portal available on the Maine Community foundation website.All applications must be received no later than the deadline date - and it is recommended that initial applications be turned in 3-4 business days prior to that to ensure proper time for final processing at the Edward Little High School guidance offices.
