  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be in grades 6 through 12 to apply.

Description: This award is for U.S. students in grades 6 through 12. Students must submit a storyboard or script to help prevent distracted walking.

Application requirements for the Drive2Life Contest are:

  • Application form
  • Storyboard or script
Additional Information: Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity (30 pts.); PSA concept (30 pts.); clarity of message (30 pts.); and quality of writing (10 pts.).

Award Amount: One Grand Prize Winner will receive $1,000 and a trip to New York City (total value $2,950). Four runners-up will each receive $500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $990.

Additional information is available on the provider's website. The student must complete the paper application, which includes basic contact information for the student, his/her parent(s) and his/her teacher. In addition to the application, the student must create a storyboard or script for a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) to help prevent drowsy walking. Only individual entries will be accepted and videos are not allowed. All materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
