Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
$1,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books, utility bills, car maintenance, child care, etc.
The number of awards varies according to ASPSF funds and the number of qualified college students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year. This year, the Greene County SPSF anticipates that 10-12 awards will be given.
The student must apply for a Pell Grant to be eligible for this award. Students apply for the Pell Grant by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. The student must not already have obtained a bachelor's degree.
